Have been looking for a current Databank watch with password protection. Am currently nursing along a 25 year old DBC-62 that's been repaired twice at greater cost than a new EDB. So I was pretty excited to see the new EDB610 and 619 models (what's the difference though?).

I like the backlight (mine does nothing but kill the battery) feature, and the on-screen menu and battery gauge. But what about the really important stuff:

1. what are the password parameters (ie. how many digits can you use, is it numerals only, etc.)?

2. will it die if you forget to take it off in the bathtub or the shower?

3. does it have flash memory, or will you lose all your data when your battery dies, or you have to replace it?
